 The most powerful, beautiful, activated dance performance... is always the annual “Student” Performance at the Nouveau Devadasi Fusion Temple Dance Festival. For three years now, I have been a servant of this vision, the Fusion Temple Dance Festival, celebrating traditional and modern sacred dance. It is the student performance that always reminds me why I do this. Participating dancers BLOOM through the immersive process: each different teacher and style of dance had a marked effect on each student. I always see a unique goddess emerging in every dancer throughout the festival. It is beyond fulfilling to witness women creatively empowered through interpretive temple dance, fully and shamelessly reveling in the beauty of their own feminine form and spiritual power.
